Palak & Mint Shorba Recipe
Ingredients
- 4 cups chopped spinach (palak)
- 2 green chillies
- 2 tbsp mint leaves (pudina)
- 1 cup milk
- salt to taste
- 1 tsp black pepper (kalimirch) powder
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp ghee
- 1 tbsp crushed garlic (lehsun)
- Boil 2 cups of water in a pan, add the spinach, chillies and garlic and cook for 10 minutes.
- Do not drain. Keep aside and allow to cool.
- Combine mint leaves with the above and blend in a mixer to a smooth puree.
- Transfer the purée into a pan, add the milk and bring to boil.
- Add the salt, black pepper powder and lemon juice and mix well simmer for 2-3 minutes.
- Garnish with thin cut almonds and mint leaves.
