Palak & Mint Shorba Recipe

Palak & Mint Shorba Recipe





Ingredients 
  • 4 cups chopped spinach (palak)
  • 2 green chillies 
  • 2 tbsp mint leaves (pudina)
  • 1 cup milk
  • salt to taste
  • 1 tsp black pepper (kalimirch) powder
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp ghee
  • 1 tbsp crushed garlic (lehsun)
Method
  • Boil 2 cups of water in a pan, add the spinach, chillies and garlic and cook for 10 minutes.
  • Do not drain. Keep aside and allow to cool.
  • Combine mint leaves with the above and blend in a mixer to a smooth puree.
  • Transfer the purée into a pan, add the milk and bring to boil.
  • Add the salt, black pepper powder and lemon juice and mix well simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  • Garnish with thin cut almonds and mint leaves.
